In Real Life- Olafur Eliasson at Tate Modern

Summer holidays are almost here and plans for another arty one are underway.

This is on the list and I’m increasingly excited about the prospect, the more I read about it.

Wonderful quote from Eliasson:

“I think that culture and art can ask questions, can entice and inspire you to evaluate things in a greater perspective,”

I’ve been interested in reading about the notion that we are now in the Anthropocene era, man’s footprint being firmly embedded in the earth’s crust.

There is a documentary coming out in September that looks fascinating: https://theanthropocene.org/film/

And, I can heartily recommend ‘Adventures in the Anthropocene’ by Gaia Vince. Gaia has travelled the earth, discovering how individuals and communities are attempting to solve ecological problems caused by our actions.
